Pressed Plants Workshop

Crop production is a significant industry around the world and has carried a long history in science and culture. Learn about different plants and their purposes as you use them to create a frame art piece. This workshop is inspired by the Vale la Pena exhibition taking place at the museums. No registration is required, and drop-ins are welcomed. All ages are invited.

Spring Studio Programs

Register in-person from January 31, 2023, to March 18, 2023, for all Studio Programs offered. Ceramics, Mixed Media, Acrylics, Drawing and Painting, Bookmaking, and Adult Jewelry Making, among others are classes that we offer for both adults and children. For more information, click the link.

Reading Art Book Club: Art Theft/Forgery/Controversy

Suggested reading: The Museum of Lost Art by Noah Charney Explore the connections between art and literature through reading and discussing new art-related books each month. Teen Takeover: T-shirt Tie Dye

The museum hits different when it's only open to teens. Play with the exhibits, make and experiment with S.T.E.A.M. activities, eat snacks, and play games during these extended hours just for teens. Test your tie dye skills and make a one-of-a-kind t-shirt. One t-shirt will be provided. You may bring up to two additional clothing items to dye. No registration is required. Ages: 13-17

Come join Senior Programs for some free afternoon bingo in the Henry Benavidez Center Dining Room. This is a great opportunity to socialize with your friends and neighbors, and maybe even win a prize. We'll provide the cards and markers, and you provide the luck. See you there!

Gourd Painting

Gourd painting at the Munson Senior Center is a fun and easy way for seniors to express their creativity. The paintings are typically simple designs that can be completed in a short amount of time. This is a great activity for seniors who want to relax and have some fun.

Stained Glass Open Studio

The stained glass open studio at the Munson Senior Center provides seniors with the opportunity to create stained glass projects. The studio is equipped with all of the necessary tools and supplies, and a volunteer is available to provide assistance if needed.

Crochet Class

Seniors can join the free crochet class at the Munson Senior Center to learn a new hobby and make new friends. In this class, seniors will learn how to crochet and will be able to create projects that they can use or give as gifts. This class is a great way for seniors to stay active and engaged in the community.

Personalize your plate

Ever wanted to personalize your own front license plate for your vehicle? A favorite character, saying or nickname.... you paint it! Wednesday March 8th from 1:30pm-3:30 pm. All materials will be provided, please where clothing you don't mind getting paint on.
