Reading Art Book Club

Pre-Raphaelites Suggested reading: The Pre-Raphaelites: Their Lives and Works in 500 Images by Michael Robinson. Explore the connections between art and literature through reading and discussing new art-related books each month. Everyone is welcome and can join--even if you haven't read the books! No registration is required. Email [email protected] for a link to the Zoom meeting or attend in-person at the Museum of Art. All ages are welcome.

Conservation Pre-K: Fireflies & Pumas

Let's learn about animals! Join us for our new Conservation Pre-K where we will learn about endangered and threatened animals in our world, how they live, and what we can do to protect them. We'll use open discussion, hands-on activities, and stories to get to know these animals. Classes will be held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month with a different animal covered in each class. Registration is required by the end of the previous month. Adult caregiver participation is required. Ages 2-5.

Teen Takeover: Program Robots

The museum hits different when it's only open to teens. Bring the fam and hang out at the Museum of Nature and Science, play with the exhibits, make and experiment with S.T.E.A.M. activities, eat snacks, and play games during these extended hours just for teens. Ages 13-17.

Grateful Threads

The Grateful Threads craft group at the Munson Senior Center provides a supportive environment for seniors to learn new crafting techniques and share their skills with one another. The group meets every Wednesday morning, and participants can come and go as they please.

Wood Carving

The wood carving gathering event is a great way for seniors to get together and socialize. They can share their skills and learn from each other while carving beautiful pieces of wood. There is always a lot of laughter and conversation, making it a fun and enjoyable event for everyone involved.

Come join Senior Programs for some free afternoon bingo in the Henry Benavidez Center Dining Room. This is a great opportunity to socialize with your friends and neighbors, and maybe even win a prize. We'll provide the cards and markers, and you provide the luck. See you there!

Gourd Painting

Gourd painting at the Munson Senior Center is a fun and easy way for seniors to express their creativity. The paintings are typically simple designs that can be completed in a short amount of time. This is a great activity for seniors who want to relax and have some fun.

Stained Glass Open Lab

The stained glass open lab at the Munson Senior Center provides seniors with the opportunity to create stained glass projects. The lab is equipped with all of the necessary tools and supplies, and a staff member is available to provide assistance if needed.

Crochet Class

Seniors can join the free crochet class at the Munson Senior Center to learn a new hobby and make new friends. In this class, seniors will learn how to crochet and will be able to create projects that they can use or give as gifts. This class is a great way for seniors to stay active and engaged in the community.

Library Lab

Explore Art, Science, Engineering, or Games through stories and activities, this program is for school aged children K-5 with caregivers welcome.

International Games Week Board Game Celebration

Join the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library staff as we celebrate International Games Week with an Adult Game Night. Board and card games will be available for all gaming enthusiasts!
