For the last fourteen years, she has also operated the APOLLO program (Apache Point Observatory Lunar Laser-ranging Operation), which bounces laser light from reflectors on the Moon. She will discuss how the work of the Apollo scientists and astronauts half a century ago has continued to enable scientific discoveries from the surface of the Earth to the present day.

Studies have shown that Tai Chi can help lower blood pressure, and improve balance, coordination, and flexibility. It teaches stress management and basic self-defense and conflict management skills.

    The 50 Plus Walking Program/0-60 in 16 weeks, is designed to get you walking up to 60 minutes in 16 weeks! It begins with 20-minute walks, three times a week, and works up to 60 minutes. Distance is not the priority, movement is. No racing or competition, just a focus on health and well-being. Already an active walker? This is a great way to meet new people, walk and socialize! Participants walk at their own pace for a set time. Distance will be tracked every day to monitor individual improvement. Every fourth week will be an optional field trip at another location.
