LIBRARY CARDS

A Library card application can be filled out online by clicking here. For more information or to renew your existing library card, contact the Circulation department at 575-528-4000 or [email protected]

With your library card you can borrow books, movies, audiobooks, and more. To have a library card issued, adults must present a government issued photo ID along with proof of current address in Dona Ana County. For children and teens 17 years and under, a library card will only be issued with a parent or legal guardian present to sign the child's application for a card.  Parents and guardians must have a card in good standing before applying for one for their child. Individuals living outside the County with a valid card from their New Mexico community library, are also eligible and may apply for a library card from Branigan Library.

You must have your library card with you in order to check out any materials.

Responsibility of Cardholders

Cardholders are responsible for any materials checked out on their library card. Failure to return library materials is a serious matter and can result in library privileges being suspended or referral to a collection agency.

Fees

A $5 fee is charged for replacement cards. Please inform the library staff if a card is lost or stolen or if an address or telephone number has changed.
